An old friend in a new place...

Claire came and visited me for a weekend and I played tourguide. Pictured is an indulgent trip to Winkel for apple tart after a visit to Noordermarkt.

Feline Fotografie..

I can feel the cringeing from all the way across the ocean, but I'm sorry, I really can't resist!

Cross-cultural feast

Oh Europe you Melting-pot! Last night Spaniards, Italians, Poms, Swedes, AUSSIES and Japanese alike dined on this fabulous home-made feast. I may point out that the plate of salmon nigiri left of centre were made from scratch by yours truly, under the watchful eye of a professional.. Thank you Yuki for teaching me your wisdom! If all else fails I will happily spend my life as a sashimi chef and will never look back.

Soaking up the sun

It's not exactly Australia, but we stripped down, donned sunnies and soaked up the weak Dutch sun like the rest of the city. A long-forgotten and lovely sensation. More please!

First Light: Fotografie & Astronomie

Thoroughly enojed this exhibition at FOAM, which charted the history of Space photography. This room above was my favourite, with the most beautiful photographs of nebulae and galaxies using techniques I couldn't really fathom. I want one for my future living room, they were absolutely mesmerising.

Pinwheels at Waterlooplein market

Yes, aren't they awful you're thinking; but seeing them all spinning in unison in the sun... I must admit I was tempted. The Spring weather does strange things to one's mood.
